Yes, the white box with a red x is caused by WoW... I fear it every day of my gaming life!
PS- Made Rank 5 (First Sargeant) today! Ah woo hoo!

I believe it might be blocked, I'm at work. Can you DL it and post it some other way perhaps?

It's quite sad how true the comic is. I know people who wouldn't do anything but play WoW 24 hours a day. They had no life, neglected their (real life) girlfriend and quit their job. It was sad really, and finally he had a wake-up call when his guild got into a drama fight, and ended up selling his account for like 1,000 dollars.
To each his own, I suppose.

This is off-topic, but hell, this is RWPW. Does anyone know if Ragnarok (free servers) or Maple Story are good?

I know of a few people that played RO due to it's freeness. I'd give Guild Wars a shot if free is what you are after, but I'm still enjoying WoW, so I'll chill here.

Scenarios like these are why I am glad that I play lonewolf style. I was in the Star Wars MMO at the launch, and played it solo until I got tired of it (and embittered by the Jedi nonsense.) Then I joined FF11 at the launch, and playing it solo until I got tired of it (which doesn't take long, even though the game was quite solo-friendly.) I assume the same would happen if I played WoW, so I don't see the need to try it (or any other such game.)
Edit: You are quite right, it was 11... and I just wrote 12 again as I was writing this edit. Something screwy going on here. Last edited by CNagy : 07-04-2006 at 11:40 PM. |

The FF MMO was 11, actually, and only solo friendly if you were a Beastmaster, and even then it was painfully slow compared to grouping.

Maple Story is... err.. ok.. if you like highly boring things
It's cute and all, but gaaaawd Also good for getting carpal tunnel syndrom! I wonder if I could hook a controller up and play with that.. It's not like I actually socialize there :/There's some cash shop thing now I hear, so.. money for stuff! YAY! ![]() I enjoyed freesharding on UO, yay for freeness.. |

In my eyes MMOs are a lot like these forums, only for people who enjoy video games. I get asked a lot why I play them, or play them so much, but the same can be asked of people who frequent forums like this so much, you make friends online and enjoy their company, MMOs just add another element to it. Why play offline games by myself when I could quest after X item, etc with friends? My 2c anyway.

I had no problem soloing Warrior to high 20s before I got bored and solo'd Monk to the high teens. I did a little bit of grouping and I do agree that the exp comes alot faster with a competent group that is all within a level of one another, but soloing wasn't a challenge. I'm sure it becomes impossible in the mid to high 30s and up, but the game failed to keep my interest that long. |

I just want a free MMO -_-; besides GuildWars. I don't care if it's too complex. I just miss the communities XD I got GW a month after it came out, and I was in a pretty good guild, and we were doing pretty good and then our leader just up and quit on us. Me, leetmoomoo, and about 6 other people (including the leader) were the people who did the PvPing. The Guild was getting big, because we were recruiting pretty well and everything
Then BAM he quits on us. We start our own guild, then I get bored and quit, and I forgot to get my friends' AIMs. -_-;I was really nice, and everyone liked me in my guild... which is why I felt bad for leaving. ;_; I used to give up all the gold I earned to noobs so they could buy good equipment in the beginning. Man.. I was too nice XD

The only massively multiplayer game I play is Imperium. I used to play Gunbound, but the people online there are worse than StarCraft players.

I played alot of Gunbound, but with friends only. Coupled with voice chat programs it became a great way to pass the time.
